Have you ever walked into a kids’ play space and ended up feeling more overwhelmed than relaxed (too loud, too bright, too chaotic) especially if your child needs a gentler, more thoughtful environment?
Or spent way too long searching for a place where your kids can truly be themselves, where sensory needs are honored, and you don’t constantly feel on edge wondering if today will be “one of those days”?
You’re not alone!
That’s exactly why I sat down with Trisha, the passionate founder of The Cove, to talk about what this space really is, why she created it, and what it actually feels like to be there as a family.

The Cove is more than an indoor play center.
The Cove is so much more than just a play space — it’s a calm, inclusive, sensory-friendly indoor playground and community hub designed for children of all abilities, with a special focus on those who are neurodiverse.
Neurodiversity means understanding and honoring that every brain works differently, and that those differences are not deficits. They are simply part of what makes us human.
Thisha’s story:
“My journey with neurodiversity is deeply personal. Like many parents, I found myself searching for spaces where my child could just be—without judgment, without pressure, without feeling like they were “too much” or “not enough.” I noticed how overwhelming traditional play spaces could be: loud, rushed, and often inaccessible for children who needed something gentler. That experience planted the seed for The Cove.
I didn’t want to create just another indoor playground. I wanted to build a space rooted in empathy—where children could explore and grow at their own pace, and where parents could finally exhale, knowing their child was safe, seen, and supported.”
That was the beginning for a Space Built with Intention.
Every detail at The Cove is intentional.
From mindful layouts and calming sensory zones to thoughtfully chosen toys and trained, compassionate staff—everything is designed to support regulation, curiosity, and confidence. Here kids are free to play their way.
And parents? Parents get something just as important: rest, connection, community.
This is a space where families don’t feel rushed or judged. Where conversations happen naturally, and support doesn’t feel clinical or isolating.
Trisha shared that coworking at The Cove was born from listening to parents. She said that so many caregivers told her the same thing: “I just need a few hours to work and focus, and not constantly worry.”
The coworking model allows parents to work while their children are nearby, cared for in a familiar, supportive environment. It’s not about productivity at all costs, we all need balance. It’s about meeting parents where they are and giving them back a small but meaningful piece of themselves.
For many families, this has been a lifeline.
Programs, Offers & Community Impact
Over the past year alone, thousands of families have walked through The Cove’s doors. They’ve joined for:
- Affordable drop-in play
- Childminding and coworking support
- Camps and seasonal programs
- Wellness workshops and parent-focused events
- Inclusive community gatherings.
Each program is designed to bring families together in meaningful, accessible ways, especially those who often feel left out of traditional systems.
The Cove also offers:
- Private therapy rooms for BI sessions, assessments, and one-on-one support.
- Rooms for rent, not just for birthday parties, but for:
- Workshops & classes
- Product launches & pop-up markets
- Bridal & baby showers
- Community meetups and creative events.
They are a flexible and welcoming space for families, professionals, and small businesses alike.

If you’ve been searching for more than “just a play space, ” I hope this story gave you clarity and maybe even relief.
Because places like this matter. Community matters. And families deserve spaces that are built with care, intention, and understanding.
