In this Blog I will tell you about studio posing techniques for your hands.
Quite often, we don’t know what to do with our hands, when we sit down in front of a camera.
I’ve noticed there are 3 most common mistakes, when it comes to where to put the hands, so they look presentable. I will show it on a video for better understanding.

Posing tips for hands.
1. Instead of showing the back of your hand straight to the camera. Try to show the side of your hand. It makes your arm look longer and more natural.
2. If you want to cross your arms for a headshot, try not gripping anything. Just rest your hands. You can even tuck one away completely, that’s totally fine.
3. Sometimes hands go into this “claw hands” position. Which is not flattering on the photos. Instead, let them rest soft on your neck, or slide one up into your hair.
Now you know what to do!
Keep these 3 positions in mind for your next headshot or more artistic portrait session.
But remember, all of this only works when you feel comfortable.
When your hands just settle on their own, when the pose feels natural. You now know That’s the shot!
